hen it comes to the air data test systems, they are generally used in the airline industry and these systems will basically perform 2 main functions. For one, they will simulate vacuum and pressure conditions that are required in order to calibrate the EPR or engine pressure ration indicators, manifold pressure, vertical speed, altimeter and airspeed. Secondly, they also provide the means for leak testing of an aircraft pilot static system.

While these systems are used in the commercial airline industry, they are also developed for the military marketplace. One of these models that’s currently used is the MCADTS and for portability, the Control unit\Calibrator is trucked mounted. Not only that, but you will find that it’s quite simple to maneuver and that is due to the fact that it’s lightweight. For all leads and hoses, ample storage space is provided. And when the system is not in use, a pad-lock enable and hinged lid will provide protection and security.

The void, static and pitot hoses, feature flared tube connections which mate with the male cone fittings at the void, static and pitot ports on the rear panel. When it comes to the horses, they all have different sized fitting to make sure that the correct connections are made and on top of that, they are also color coded.

The MCADTS air data test systems feature integral pressure and vacuum supplies that are generated using a mufti headed dry diaphragm pump. During the operation of the MCADTS, the pump will run intermittently and it will enter operation when there is a need for a certain amount of pressure. Also, when it comes to the RCDU or the remote control and display unit, it’s connected at the socket in the lower dish, found at the bottom right corner of the CCU. To enable remote control operation, it can be removed from the CCU and can be connected via the extension lead or via the interconnecting lead. Lastly, in terms of features, air data test systems like the MCADTS feature pre programmed test routines, easy operation, extended range, truck mounted, man portable and rugged mounted, integral pressure and vacuum supplies and so forth.
